Founded in 2003, Shen Yuan has grown into a leader in China’s table grape industry, building on a legacy that began in 1981 when owner Xu Weidong‘s father planted vines in the family garden.

Today, Shen Yuan operates 80 hectares of demonstration vineyards, 500,000 square meters of greenhouses and a cultivar bank with 2,000 local and international grape varieties in Zhangjiagang City, near Shanghai.

Shen Yuan has also registered 26 new grape varieties and operates over 200 hectares of vineyards across China—from Yunnan in the south to Sichuan in the center to Xinjiang in the northwest—allowing it to test grapes in diverse climates.

The company not only creates and markets its own grapes but also connects tens of thousands of farmers with customers, supporting the industry through innovation, expertise and market access.
